ORGANIC DUEL

Year: 2014
Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP)
Individual project
Professors: Thomas de Monchaux , Owen Nichols
Techniques: Hand drawing and digital collage
The aim of this project was to reproduce an element of an eighteenth century clothing into a new spatial language.
By wearing the garment while visiting the site, we had to experience how the garment will affect our motion and emotion through space and propose a new space.  A conceptual duel was proposed which starts with organic shape growing behind the main facade of Hamilton house, stealing five architectural moments from it and transforming them into an organic language.
